When you hear the words 'fashion week', you probably think of New York City, Paris and Milan. Thanks to Brittany Alphonso, and her team at St. Augustine Fashion Week, the runway comes to the Oldest City.
I read the fashion magazine, Elle, religiously in the 90's, (this fashion staple was one of the inspirations for choosing my daughter's name), so I was excited to attend STAFW Season 4 and capture the models, hair, makeup and creations by these talented designers.
Fashion Week donates to many local charities, including Betty Griffin House, Daniel Kids and St. Augustine Youth Services. They kicked off the season at St. Augustine Premium Outlets event Sip, Shop, Sample. Guests entered to win swag bags with goodies from local business Spanish Dutch Convoy. Fashion Week is in its 4th season of giving local creatives the opportunity to showcase their talents.
